About Maria

Maria’s passion for nutrition and fitness goes back to her early childhood as a kid growing up in the Bronx, New York. She has always had a love and fascination with different types of delicious and healthy foods.

Being of Italian/Irish descent, she has vivid memories of her family gathering for Sunday dinners at her grandparents’ house for the best Italian dishes – Italian salads with all the veggies, beef soups, brojoli, mini pizzas (all made from scratch) and always topped it off with a savory dessert- cannolis, Conti’s Birthday cakes (for special occasions), and the best chicken cutlets, rice, asparagus and lentil dishes you could have imagined.

Her love for food inspired her to continue her education in teaching and nutritional studies and soon became a Registered Dietitian. As Maria evolved, her fascination with nutrition and wellness continued to grow. Her passion is educating people to become healthy and the best version of themselves!
